Initial Teacher Training

The TLI has teamed with the New Teacher Center at UC Santa Cruz to bring pre-intern and intern teachers an online multimedia classroom management course to be used for Initial Teacher Training.

Any pre-intern or intern in a TLI participating program may register for these courses. If your support program is not a member of our partnership, please have your program director contact us for more information on how they can join the TLI.

Training Modules Include:

Connection to the CSTP Standard: Creating and maintaining effective learning environments
Study in 6 areas of classroom management in the elementary and secondary classroom
Web delivery with tracking of participant reflection upon their learning
Tips from experienced teachers
Online resources and annotated Internet links
Online community building tools: chat and threaded discussion
